Planners
Students are required to keep planners and their grades will be entered in each Friday.
Materials
The only materials required are a pen, pencil and notebook with paper that can be used for assignments (no rough edges)
Grading Policy
Students will be graded on tests, quizzes, writing assignments, literature assignments, homework, class work and participation. The grade scale is as follows: A=90-100, B=80-89, C=70-79, D=60-69, F=59 or below.
Late Work
Students are expected to hand in work on time and late work WILL NOT be accepted. If a student is absent, he or she has TWO DAYS for every day absent to make work up. It is the responsibility of the student to find out what they missed while they were out either before or after school, NOT during class. If a student is absent the day a long term assignment (ex: project, essay, etc) is due, the student is expected to turn in the assignment the first day he or she returns to school.
Students with unexcused absences (sweep, cutting class) will not be able to make up work.
Extenuating circumstances will always be taken into consideration.
Tardies
Students are given a fifteen minute detention after 2 tardies, followed by a thirty minute detention, then an hour, and finally an office referral.
Electronic Devices
Cellular phones, Ipods, PSPs or any other electronics must be kept out of sight and turned off. Failure to do so results in the items being confiscated and turned into the office. At times students may be able to use ipods in class but only at specific times where I approve of it.
Group Work
During group work, any students who are off task, misbehaving, or getting answers from other groups, will be forced work independently, and if necessary given an alternative assignment. Students who routinely have issues with group work will no longer be able to participate in group work.

A calendar of lessons and assignments for the class can be seen on the Fremont website. Postings on the calendar may be subject to change.
