MPS Career Specialists

Each of our comprehensive senior high campuses have Career Specialists.  The primary responsibility of our Career Specialists is to help our students students reach their academic and career goals.  Specifically, our Career Specialists:

  • Maintain a 21st century career center with numerous academic and career related resources
  • Create and distribute a scholarship and/or post-graduate bulletin filled with, among other things, the latest scholarships and information
  • Coordinate various career and college speakers and career-related field trips
  • Promote and recruit students for district-wide programs and opportunities for students
  • Provide information pertaining to and monitor the Career Exploration Program (CEP)
  • Together with the school counselors, deliver academic and career guidance lessons for students
  • Together with the school counselors, ensure that students have an Educational and Career Action Plan (ECAP) prior to graduation
  • Assist students in completing web-based scholarship and college applications
  • Promote the Mesa Career Services job-bulletin and job seeking services
