Dear Hale Heroes,
I'm most proud to be the principal at Hale, where our students, families and staff are the best! I always have had a true passion for education and children! Prior to my years at Hale, I was an administrator at the elementary and junior high levels in Georgia and in Virginia for a total of eight years. Before that, I taught students in grades ranging from Pre-K to 4th grade.
Although I was born in Michigan, I grew up in Georgia on the Georgia/Alabama border in an area just south west of Atlanta. Pine Mountain is a rural area located at the Southern most tip of the Appalachian Mountain Chain. I spent many days hiking the mountain trails and enjoying the beauty of the natural surroundings in Franklin Delano Roosevelt State Park. Since relocating to Arizona, I find the climate and outdoor opportunities here suit me well. I prefer the sun and dry heat to Georgia's humidity but will always hold dear my Southern roots. My husband, Robert and I enjoy hiking together. One of our favorite places to explore is Valley of Fire State Park.
I am privileged to be the principal of Hale Elementary School. As professional educators, we know your child’s success is based upon strong instructional practices in the classroom and a strong partnership with parents reinforcing and encouraging academic achievement. Thank you for your commitment and your involvement. We truly have the best staff and community at Hale! We are Heroes!
