Hawthorne PTO would
like to welcome all the new families to Hawthorne, and say hello to all
the returning families.
The 2006-07 PTO is newly elected and is excited about the upcoming year. We
have many fundraising ideas and can not wait to get started. We are looking forward
to meeting the parents and the students this next year, we hope you will be able
to attend the meetings and to help by volunteering your time to help reach PTO's
goals.

The May PTO meeting will be held on October 7th @ 7:00p.m. in the teacher's lounge. Every parent or guardian is encouraged to come.
The PTO
raises money in various ways during the school year to purchase items for the
school.
The easiest way
for every family to help is to use the following programs whenever possible:
Save
Bashas' and Food City grocery receipts.
Sign
up Hawthorne School as your school of choice for the Fry's Receipt Program.
Use
an Albertson's School Awards Card when you shop. (The card must be shown everytime
you shop.)
Save
General Mills Box Tops for Education which are found on all General Mills
products. http://www.boxtops4education.com/index.aspx Please
get those box tops in. Make sure you place the box tops in a zip lock bag with
your students room numbers on them.
If you need an
Albertson's or Fry's card, please contact PTO or the service desk at the grocery
store.
Popsicle sales every Wednesday and Friday after school by the office and
new buildings.
We
are doing a print cartridge and cell phone recycling fundraiser this year
please place any old ink cartridges or cell phone in a plastic bags and have
your student bring them to the computer lab. To check this out go to their
