I was born and raised in Arizona. I left Arizona to explore the world with my Air Force husband 21 years ago. I have been in Mesa for one year. Prior to here I have lived in Turkey, North Dakota, England, Nevada, and New Mexico. Ten years ago I fell in love with education and made a career change. Since then I have worked as an Educational Assistant, Substitute Teacher, a Preschool Teacher, and a Fourth grade teacher. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Maryland University College in 2009, and completed my Certificate in Elementary Education from Central New Mexico College in 2015. This is my third year teaching 4th grade. I have three kids Alex, (college sophomore), Kera (high school senior), and Lacey (3nd grade) and my dog Rudy. In my free time I enjoy traveling, reading, hiking, cooking, exploring different foods/traditions and spending time with my family. I love my job! I feel so lucky to go to work each day and love what I do. I look forward to another great year.
