Biography

Hello! First off, I wanted to express how excited I am to be here at Hawthorne Elementary School. It is an honor and privilege to start my career at such a great school.

My name is Miss Dezentje (Miss D. for short) and I am very excited to start my first year of teaching. I started my college career at Mesa Community College at Red Mountain (MCC) where I completed my Associates degree in Elementary Education and General Arts. When I finished at MCC, I transferred to Arizona State University (ASU) where I received my Bachelors in Elementary and Special Education. Throughout my college career I have had lots of experience working with students in both the general education classes as well as in special education. I am very excited to have my own classroom working with students of my own.

I choose to teach in the Mesa District because I LOVE it. I am a prodigy of the Mesa Public School District. I went to elementary school, middle school, and high school in Mesa. Furthermore, I am an Arizona native, born and raised in Mesa.

I come from a family of seven and I am the youngest out of my siblings as well as my cousins. I have three brothers and one sister. I am a proud auntie of a beautiful niece and a handsome nephew. I love them dearly. My nephew lives here in Arizona, but my niece lives out of state unfortunately. I wish I could see her more often.

I look forward to a great year here at Hawthorne! Feel free to contact me via email or phone with any questions or concerns you may have.

Thank you,

Miss Dezentje
