Biography

Welcome! I am currently enjoying my fifth year teaching at Hendrix and my sixth year teaching overall. My first years at Hendrix, I spent teaching English and moved to the Reading Department which I am the chair of, as well.  I graduated with my bachelors degree in Elementary education from Westminster College, located in Fulton, Missouri. After graduating, I spent my first year teaching 5th grade overseas in London, England. Since that experience, I moved to Phoenix where I received my Masters in Education in the field of Language and Literacy, including my reading endorsement, at Arizona State University. Currently, I am in the middle of earning my Ed.D in Educational Leadership through ASU. I am originally from Chicago and absolutely love the Arizona sunshine. I do not foresee myself leaving this wonderful environment anytime soon. I do support the Arizona sports teams, although, I am still a Chicago sports fan at heart. Go Cubs! Go Bulls!
