Dear Parents,

We believe that our system of public education is without equal in the world, and that your son/daughter will have a good third grade experience at Highland.

In our classrooms we place grat emphasis on developing self-esteem and a positive attitude about school. We feel that the basic curriculum skills are most important. We will be providing various opportunities for expression through art, and promoting organizational skills that will prepare them for the intermediate grades.

We appreciate and enjoy parental assistance and feel that we should work together as a team in the best interest of your child. If you have time and would like to volunteer in the classroom, we will have a schedule available when you come to Curriculum Night, August 7th. We are looking forward to meeting you and having a fantastic 2008-2009 school year.

The following supplies would help your child better participate in some of our third grade activities. Please provide as many as you can. This list will be available at Target. Thank you.
