Dear Parents,
We realize that preparing for kindergarten is exciting for you and your child. We, too, are eager to be part of your child's life at this very important time. We will work hand in hand with you to make this a wonderful year.
As your child gets ready for Kindergarten year there are a few things that would help their transition to school: writing their name (capital letter at the beginning and the rest lower case), using scissors, name some of the letters in the alphabet, counting objects to ten (10) and naming numbers 1 to 10; and many activities found in the "Summer Connections" booklet provided by the district.
In early August, your child will receive and invitation to a Hello Party which will be held on Tuesday, August 10th. Parents are encouraged to attend the "Parents Meet the Teacher Night" the evening of August 10th. Parents will meet in their child's classroom during one of the following identical sessions, 5:30-6:00 p.m., 6:10-6:40 p.m., or 6:50-7:20 p.m.. (Mrs. Morrow's las session will be for her p.m. parents only).
We look forward to a wonderful year! We hope to see you at Parent Meet the Teacher Night.
Sincerely,
Pat Ide, Donna Morrow, Lorraine Montoya and Amy DeLong
