The Purpose of the council is to serve in an advisory capacity to the school administration for the purpose of providing the best possible quality of educational experiences for Highland students.
The Council consists of the prinicipal, five teachers elected by the faculty, and seven representatives from five geographical locations surrounding the school.
The Representatives serve as liaisons to the parents in their area for any questions, concerns or problems they may wish to be addressed by SIAC.
The Council meets during the school year on the 1st Tuesday of selected months at 6:30pm.
The meeting schedule for the 2005-2006 school year will be posted.
