Hi!
Welcome to sixth grade. We are excited to be part of
the team that will be working with your child next year.
We are planning to continue to departmentalize sixth
grade for the next school year. You will get to enjoy
each sixth grade teacher, so instead of knowing just one
teacher, you will be thrilled to have three. We will work
hard to make it an enjoyable year.
If there are items your child would like to keep in
the classroom that are school-related, we see no problem
with that. Markers, colored pencils, crayons, etc. are
all perfectly fine to have if wanted. We will be able to
supply these, but we do understand how kids like to have
their own stuff. Just remember, they need to be used at
appropriate times.
We would like the kids ready for next year from day
one. Over the summer, practice the mult. and div. facts,
read some books to keep the brain cells flowing, and
write a little bit each day. You need to be ready to roll
out of the gates from day one.
We believe that we can have a good time learning next
year, so we hope your children get excited over the
summer to come back to Highland. Hopefully, we will make
it a positive, memorable year.
Adios, and enjoy the summer,
Mr. Basilo (Mr. B.)
Mr. Casey (Mr. C.)
Ms. Munden
