Dear Parents,

My name is Melanie Iniguez and it is my pleasure to be a 3rd grade teacher at Highland Arts Elementary.

A little about me, I've been teaching for Mesa Public Schools for almost 20 years and have been at Highland 18 of those years.  I'm so proud to be a Highland teacher!  I graduated from ASU with my bachelors degree in education and had an emphasis on Fine Arts.  I have masters degree from NAU in bilingual/multicultural education.  I strive to be a lifelong learner.

The education of our children has been one of National concern. I join in that concern and have developed my philosophy of education in accordance. I believe that all children are capable of learning and every child has their own unique strength and talent. I look to expand upon those strengths as I encourage my students to grow. I also believe that children learn best in a positive atmosphere and success is reached when what is learned in the classroom can be applied to "real life" situations.

Third grade will be an exciting adventure for your child. I am looking forward to a year of learning and growing with all of my students!

Curriculum Night is in August and I look forward to seeing all of you!

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call or e-mail me any time.

Warmly,

Melanie Iniguez
