Mrs. Rao graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2005.  She started teaching fourth grade at Entz Elementary and for the last 5 years has been teaching second grade at Highland Elementary.  She continues to take Professional Development classes to keep current in new teaching techniques.

Mrs. Rao was born in New Jersey and raised in Whitefish Montana.  She is married to Carlo and has two daughters, Brianna and Erica, and a Puggle named Nikki. She loves spending time with her family, traveling, reading, painting, and cooking.

Mrs. Rao found her passion for teaching while raising her own children.  She believes that the successful education of a student is dependent upon good communication and teamwork with the child, the parent, and the teacher.  She is looking forward to this new school year and is honored to be part of the staff at Highland Elementary.
