Elementary
K-6 Health standards are coordinated through the science department and integrated into science and social science kits furnished by the Science and Social Science Resource Center.
K-6 Science Education has many health standards incorporated into the science units taught in grades K-6.
K-6 Social Studies has many health standards incorporated into social studies units taught in grades K-6.
K-6 Physical Education has health and physical activity standards integrated into K-6 PE courses offered at the elementary level.
Secondary
Project M.E.S.A. (Mesa's Education in Sexual Awareness) is coordinated through the science department. Information regarding the seventh and ninth grade sex education programs is found on this site.
7-12 Science Education has many health standards incorporated into several secondary science courses.
7-12 Physical Education has health and physical activity standards as an integral part of physical education courses and athletic team sports offered in junior high and high schools.
Mesa Public Schools' Guidance Department coordinates Prevention Programs incorporating health standards.
Mesa Public Schools' Health Services Department coordinates information related to communicable diseases, immunizations, general wellness and optional elementary sex education programs.
