Information on Obtaining an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Arizona law requires certificated employees to maintain a valid fingerprint clearance card during the period of the certificate. This is not optional. Being able to show a valid fingerprint clearance card or show proof of application is a requirement of the Arizona Department of Education. 

Mesa Public Schools works in coordination with the Arizona Department of Education to insure that all certificated employees including substitute teachers possess a valid fingerprint clearance card to be in compliance with A.R.S 15-534.

Effective January 1, 2008, per Arizona State Statute A.R.S. 15-106, all teachers and persons who are required to be fingerprinted to work in the classroom are required to have an Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card.
