Ishikawa ELP
Program Description
The Extended Learning Program is designed to serve the special needs of the intellectually gifted students with educational opportunities that are qualitatively different. This program is based on the belief that these needs require a curriculum, which emphasizes critical thinking skills and creative problem solving. Students in grades 3 - 6, who qualify for this program, are eligible to participate in ELP resource pullout services. These students attend their ELP class one full day each week. Third graders meet on Wednesdays, fourth graders meet on Thursdays, fifth graders meet on Tuesdays, and sixth graders meet on Mondays.
