Welcome! I am excited for another year!
I began my teaching career here at Ishikawa. I taught 3rd and 4th grade for several years before moving up to 5th grade where I have been for the past few years.
I graduated from Miami High School in 1979 and then attended Arizona State University to receive a B.A. degree in Business. After working for the banking industry for nine years I returned to school and received an Elementary teaching certificate from Ottawa University. Since then, I have also received an M.A. degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University and an M.A. degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix.
I have a son, Brian, who is 28 years old. He is an Audio Visual Technician.
I was born and raised in Miami, Arizona, a small mining community about 70 miles east of Mesa. When we retire, we hope to go back “home” to Miami.
If you ever happen to drive through my hometown, make sure you stop to eat because Miami, AZ is truly “Home of the Best Mexican Food!!”
