Hi parents and students of Room 17!  I am so excited to be a part of the Third Grade team here at Ishikawa and even more excited to be your teacher!   I look forward to meeting all of the new third graders and families but first here is a bit about me...

Hendersons at Wrigley

Teaching is a passion of mine and I believe that all children can succeed.  Everyday I strive to help my students to achieve their personal best and learn the curriculum through their unique learning styles and abilities.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Master's in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University.  Go SUN DEVILS!  I also have my SEI and Reading Endorsement.  This is my 13th year teaching for the Mesa Public School District. During the 2008- 2009 school year,  I taught conversational English to students at a high school and a community college in Japan. Upon returning to the U.S. I became apart of the Ishikawa family.  I feel so lucky to be a teacher here and doing what I love!

Just a couple weeks after I graduated from ASU, I married my wonderful husband, Josh.  We have two of the most adorable children!  At the beginning of the summer, Sophie celebrated her 9th birthday and Noah celebrated his 7th. They are so much fun and keep me on my toes at all times. Our favorite things to do together are to play games, go on bike rides, swim, and attend sporting events! We also have two sweet dogs, Wrigley and Zoe.

When I am not at school or playing with my kiddos I love to hike, read, bake, watch movies, shop, and make projects that I find on Pinterest.
