I am including some information about my background to help you understand me better.  I am an Arizona native.  I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona.  I earned my bachelor’s degree in education from Arizona State University.  In the spring of 2001 I did my student teaching at Barbara Bush Elementary School in a fourth grade classroom.  On September 12, 2001 I got my first full-time teaching position at McKellips Middle School.  I taught fifth and sixth grade students at McKellips for three years.  I joined the Jordan staff in June of 2004 and taught third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade.  I taught at Jordan for 7 years.  I joined the Longfellow staff in June of 2012 and taught sixth grade for 5 years.  During that time I earned my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from NAU.

I am excited to now be part of the Ishikawa team!

When I am not at school I am spending time with my family and I am involved in their lives.
