I have been working for Mesa Public Schools since 2008. I began as a part-time substitute teacher and then became a full-time substitute teacher. I substituted everything from kindergarten through high school. In 2011, I began teaching. This year is my ninth year teaching and second year at Ishikawa.
I was born and raised here in Mesa and attended Mesa Public Schools. I went to Hawthorne, Poston, and Mountain View. After I graduated from high school, I went to Mesa Community College and Arizona State University, and then graduated from Brigham Young University.
After college, I moved around because of family commitments and lived in the states of Utah, California, Pennsylvania, & Virginia. I'm thankful for the many experiences I had while living in those different areas.
I have a great family! I have four children including two sons, two daughters, two sons-in-law, and two grandchildren. My children attended Ishikawa. Yay, Dragons!
Also, education is in my family. Teachers in my family include: my grandma, my aunt, three sisters, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
I am so excited to be teaching fifth grade at Ishikawa!
