A little about me.
My name is Heather Wendt and I am thrilled to be teaching at Ishikawa this year. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. My first three years of teaching were in 2nd grade in San Tan Valley, Arizona. 3rd grade will be new and exciting and I am ready to take on the challenge. COVID-19 has changed life and school but I am confident we can still make this a year of growth, fun, and lots of reading!
I am an Arizona native and love everything about the desert, even the heat! Mesa is where I grew up so when we had the opportunity to move back, I jumped at the chance. Something interesting about me is that I have an identical twin sister who I am very close with. Often times, people cannot tell us apart. Even our own children have been known to get confused.
I am married with four kids and our two miniature schnauzers Apollo and Creed. Abby just graduated from high school, Troy will be a junior this year, Wyatt will be in 8th grade and Autumn will be in 4th. Just like you, my family keeps me busy and keeps life exciting and interesting.
I truly look forward to working with your children this year and watching the class grow and be successful.
