Biography

I love Ishikawa Elementary School and I have truly become a "dragon" at heart!

I was raised in Arizona and grew up helping my mom decorate her classroom every year.  I knew I would always become a teacher, just like my mom, when I grew up!  I went to Brigham Young University and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.  After graduation, I worked one year in the Tempe Elementary School District as a first grade math and science teacher.  I then taught 4th grade and Special Education in the Gilbert Public School District for 6 years, taking a few years off to raise my kids.  I began teaching at Ishikawa 6 years ago, and have taught 3rd, 4th, and 1st grade here.  I have found my home in 1st grade and absolutely love it!

I live in Mesa with my husband, Matt, and my three wonderful kids, Tori, Thommy and Dylan.  They are all students here in Mesa, attending Mt. View, Stapley and Ishikawa.
