K-3 Citizenship Award Criteria

1)      Classroom teachers will recognize one girl and one boy to receive a Citizenship award each quarter

2)      Specialist may nominate one student within their classes for the citizenship award. This may include PE, music, media, band, orchestra, speech, OT/PT, SLD, Art, and G & T, counselor, media, psychologist, FA, etc.

3)      Students who receive citizenship recognition in grades K-3 should:

·         Consistently demonstrate kind action towards others

·         Consistently demonstrate respect towards staff, visitors, peers, school’s property, and others’ property

·         Consistently abide by school and classroom rules and expectations and act responsibly in the classroom and on the playground

·         Consistently demonstrate leadership skills and take the initiative to help others without being asked

·         Consistently exemplify SOAR qualities daily

·         Complete tasks and assignments consistently

·         Consistently takes responsibility for his/her learning by completing assignments, successfully using time wisely for intended purpose, and come to school on time and prepared with the necessary materials

4th-6th Grade Honor Roll and Citizenship Awards

Honor Roll

Silver Honor Roll

·         All A's and B's in the five core curriculum areas; reading, math, writing, science, social studies

·         Earned "3 or 4" on effort in all curriculum areas including PE, Music, and Art, and in the "Skills and Behavior" portion of the report card

Gold Honor Roll

·         Straight A's in the five core curriculum areas; reading, math, writing, science, social studies

·         Earned "3 or 4" on effort in all curriculum areas including PE, Music, and Art, and in the "Skills and Behavior" portion of the report card

 

4-6 Grade Citizenship Award Criteria
