Based upon MPS initiatives of adjusting school practices founded upon recent educational research, Mesa schools are updating select traditional school practices. 

For the 4th quarter of the 2018-2019 school and beyond, Johnson will be permitting students to re-take tests in which the student did not pass.  This approach is away from letters grades as a primary focus for learners and teachers, and places the emphasis on the learning.  Please take a look at the flow map below to gain better understanding of this re-test policy at Johnson.  If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher for further clarification.
