Hi! My name is Carol McLane and I will be your child's first grade teacher this year. This is my twelfth year teaching and I am thrilled to be teaching here at Johnson.
I am a product of Mesa Public Schools, Kindergarten through High School. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from ASU and my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from NAU. I also hold a Reading Endorsement, Early Childhood Endorsement, and SEI Endorsement. Throughout my teaching career I have had the opportunity to work in various classrooms preschool through sixth grade, the library, and special education.

I was born and raised in Arizona and have a wonderful family. I have three younger sisters, an older brother, as well as 4 nieces and 2 nephews. When I am not working I enjoy hanging out with my family, reading, going to the gym, and taking road trips.

I have been working in the classroom creating fun, exciting lessons, and getting ready for the new school year. I can't wait to meet you on Monday, August 6th for Meet the Teacher Night, from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm, in room 11. School starts on Wednesday, August 8th this year. Hope to see you there!

I am looking forward to a fun and memorable year. Each child is unique and special. My goal is to create lifelong learners in a safe and positive learning community. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at
