Specific Learning Disabilities (2nd/3rd)

Hello Parents and Students!

My name is Jennifer McDermott and I work primarily with the 2nd and 3rd grade resource students. I have been at Johnson since 2006 and have been teaching special ed. since January 2000.

I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a double B.S. in Special Education and Elementary Education and completed my master's through Grand Canyon University in Curriculum and Instruction with a reading emphasis. I have endorsements in SLD, MR, ED, reading, and in SEI.

At Johnson I do both a push-in and pull-out model when working with students. I work collaboratively with grade level teachers, our speech and language pathologist, and other relative services. Together we will work to improve our students' academic ability, confidence, and responsibility.

Communication is your child's key to success. Please contact me with any questions or concerns regarding your child.

I look forward to meeting you!
