Let's work together:

Teaching children is my passion and I find it very rewarding working with this age level. I love helping change trajectories where children can be successful to their maximum potential.  Working together we can accomplish more. Together we can advocate for your child to ensure the highest success. We can pinpoint deficits and build on strengths while raising the bar building a solid foundation of success. Have your child work on Quizlet flash cards to get all the standards vocabulary. https://quizlet.com/join/vbDPtVekX

Tips to help your child

  • Encourage your child to read 365 days a year. The best way to improve is to practice. This works. Do it and do it often.
  • Ensure your child eats a healthy breakfast.
  • 8+ hours a night of good sleep (lack of sleep can mimic ADHD)
  • Scheduled homework not to exceed one hour nightly.
  • Check and sign the daily agenda and check homeroom teacher's web page.
  • Contact teachers if you don't see child doing homework or something seems off. Do not wait. There is homework Mon-Thurs ALWAYS.
  • Advocate for your child and teach child how to self-advocate too.
  • Become an expert on your child's particular area of concern.

Dr. Haim Ginott Quote

"I've come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element in the classroom. It's my daily mood that makes the weather. As a teacher, I possess a tremendous power to make a child's life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration. I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis will be escalated or de-escalated and a child humanized or de-humanized." quote by Dr. Haim Ginott
