On August 2, 2012, Superintendent of Public Instruction John Huppenthal announced the release of Arizona’s 2011-2012 A-F letter grades for all district and charter schools in the state. Letter grades are just one measure of how well a school is performing. The A-F letter grade system uses a combination of students’ scores on the AIMS tests (50 percent) and the academic growth of students from one year to the next (50 percent). Jordan Elementary School received a letter grade of C indicating an average level of performance. Our performance over the last three years indicates an increased level of student achievement. The range of points for a C grade is 100 – 119. Jordan has 118 points just 2 points away from a B grade. Below is the website that will take you to the AZ Dept. of Education website. It is from there that you can access the letter grade of any school in the state. www.azed.gov
