Biography

I am a speech/language pathologist for Mesa Public Schools.  I am lucky because I work with the Early Childhood Special Education preschoolers and help them to learn how to communicate better.  Can anything be more delightful than working with little children?  I work closely with the classroom teachers, and we all have a lot of fun while we help the children improve their speech and also to develop their understanding of language and express themselves through language.  The children often have us laughing.

I have worked for Mesa Public Schools in this capacity since 2004.  I attended Brigham Young University and got my bachelors degree there.  I then went to San Francisco State where I received my masters degree.  Both are in Communicative Disorders.

I grew up in Oakland, California, and my husband and I eventually moved to Mesa to raise our very young family.  We travel back to the Bay Area at least yearly to visit family still living there.  It is one of our favorite trips.

I have a supportive husband and three grown children with spouses and so far one grandchild who bring a lot of joy into our lives.
