The Principal's Office

The 2007-2008 is going to be another outstanding year. We welcome Joshua Hancock back to Keller Elementary School. Mr. Hancock worked at Longfellow Elementary School for four years before entering the Mesa Public Schools’ Administrative Assistant Program.

Mission Statement

The Keller Elementary School community believes that every child is unique and capable of reaching high levels of academic and social success. We will provide learning opportunities that are based on academic standards and that are relevant to our students’ lives. We will provide students opportunities to demonstrate their learning and celebrate accomplishments. Students at Keller Elementary will develop strong personal character traits along with respect and appreciation for all individuals in a diverse learning environment.

Beliefs

  1. Students need a standards based curriculum and sequentially articulated programs that are consistent with high expectations.

  2. Firm, consistent discipline and positive school environment are an integral part of education.

  3. Children need the knowledge and the skill to be productive members of a diverse society and constantly changing world.

  4. Educating children is a shared partnership in learning among the teacher, parents, and student.

  5. Continuous monitoring of student achievement and program effectiveness is paramount to the ongoing process of school improvement at Keller Elementary.
