Allow me to take a few moments to introduce myself. My name is Brian Hay and I am the principal at Keller Elementary school. I consider the appointment to this position to be a great honor. My wife Erin and I are both Arizona natives and both attended Mesa Public Schools kindergarten through 12th grade. She also works for the district as a 1st grade teacher at Whittier Elementary. We currently have no children, but we do have our dog Boomer whom we spoil like he was a child. We go to the dog-park several times a week, and make sure he always has lots of toys to play with. My wife and I also love to travel and our favorite destination is anything Disney! We go to Disneyland and Disney World several times each year including when we run the half-marathons they hold there. We also enjoy many outdoor activities such as 4-Wheeling in our Jeep, hiking, and going fishing.
As far as my academic background goes I graduated from MCC with two associates degrees before receiving my Bachelors degree from Arizona State University. I then taught for 8 years before going back to earn my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University. While I was earning my masters degree I was a TAP Master Teacher, and a Title I Specialist.
Two years ago Keller earned a 2015 A+ School of Excellence award for the service that Keller provides to the students, neighborhood, and the entire community. Keller's future continues to be bright as we fulfill our vision of "Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow". We have an excellent staff who have the best interest of the students we serve at the forefront of every decision we make.
If at anytime you have any questions, concerns, or compliments please feel free to contact me about the any of the programs here at Keller.
