Welcome to First Grade!

Biography

My name is Amanda Haskell and this is my second year teaching at Keller. Before coming to Mesa Public Schools, I taught Kindergarten for three years in Glendale and spent four years in New York teaching first and second grade. This will be my eighth year teaching, and I am excited to be back in Kindergarten!

I was born and raised in Mesa, so I am excited to be returning home! I attended Arizona State University and received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I also have a Master's degree in Reading Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, watching sports, spending time with my family, and anything Disney. I love traveling and seeing the world. My favorite place to travel to is San Diego! I am a season ticket holder for ASU football, and also enjoy attending their basketball and baseball games. I am a very proud ASU alumni! My family is my number one priority and the main reason I am back in Mesa. If you enter my classroom, the first thing you will notice is that I love Disney! I grew up visiting Disneyland frequently, and still go as much as I can as an adult.

I am very excited to be at Keller this year! We have a wonderful staff and fantastic students at our school!
