I moved to sunny Arizona in the mid 80's and have never looked back. After graduating from Mankato State University in Minnesota I started my teaching career in northwest Iowa as an itinerant teacher for children with special needs birth to age 5.
Upon moving to Arizona I continued my teaching career in Phoenix with the Foundation for Blind Children (FBC) in their preschool program. I continued my coursework with the University of Arizona and became certified to teach children who have visual impairments. FBC in cooperation with Mesa Public Schools opened a preschool program for children who were visually impaired at Hawthorne Elementary and eventually moved the program to Keller Elementary. I've been at Keller ever since teaching preschool children with special needs.
I live in Chandler and enjoy spending time with my family. I am an avid sports fan, watching whatever AZ team is playing at the time, Diamondbacks, Cardinals or Suns.
I am trully blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know and be a part of so many children's lives year after year. I learn so much from them. This year is no exception...
