Dear Families,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Kindergarten!  For many of you, this is your child's first experience with school, and it is an exciting time of new adventures and learning moments.  You are your child's first lifetime teacher.  I am honored to be your child's first Kindergarten teacher.

My bachelor's degree in Elementary Education is from Arizona State University.  I also have an English as a Second Language Endorsement and my Early Childhood Development Endorsement .  My teaching experience includes Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, and Third Grade. As you can see, I love teaching the primary grades!!  However, Kindergarten is my absolute favorite grade to teach!!

I am originally from the Buckeye State of Ohio.  I moved to Arizona in 1976, and I have now planted my roots here in the beautiful city of Mesa.  When I am not teaching during the school year, you might find Mr. Farschman and I hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, hiking different trails around the state, visiting favorite places like the Desert Botanical Garden, the Phoenix Zoo, or going to an Arizona Rattlers game.  I am a proud mother of one son, and two beautiful grandchildren.  My grandson is beginning 10th grade and my granddaughter will be in 3rd grade this year.  I am also a proud stepmom of my stepson who is a sophomore this year at Barrett Honors College at ASU. Children grow so fast, so cherish every precious moment with your child/children!

Please check back to my web page from time to time as I update it with more information, photos, and different websites that you can visit.

Feel free to contact me at my classroom phone at 480-472-6181.  Please read through your Kindergarten Information packet as it contains valuable information that you will need to refer to throughout the school year.   Thank you so much for your support of your child, our school, and myself.
