Greetings! The 2017-2018 school year marks my 14th year teaching in Mesa Public Schools. I was born and raised in Arizona. I have had the opportunity to attend many great Arizona schools including: Mesa Community College, Arizona State University, and Northern Arizona University. I attended a post baccalaureate program at ASU to become a Certified Elementary School Teacher in 2003. I received my Master’s Degree in 2005 from NAU in Multilingual/Multicultural Education. I am fully endorsed to teach English as a Second Language. I have taught S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) for 3 years with the TL3C grant.

I have had the pleasure of working in Mesa Public Schools since the start of my career. I started out at Whittier Elementary School, where I taught full day Kindergarten for 3 years. I moved to Keller Elementary School 10 years ago teaching 2nd grade and eventually moved to 4th grade. I love teaching 4th Grade! Keller always feels like family.

When I am not at Keller, I am with my family. My daughter Graciana is a Junior at ASU. I am a proud Sun Devil Mom. My son Marco was born in 2007. He is a 4th grade student at Keller. I also have 2 step children, AJ is 13 and attends Jr. High and Olivia is on the Volleyball team at Sunnyslope High School. My Husband Addam is a mental health professional in Phoenix. We have 3 furry friends at home; Stripes the kitty, Susi the German Shepherd, and Lali the Chihuahua. As you can imagine we have a fun, yet busy household! When I'm not teaching you might find me at the gym or hiking an Arizona Trail.

I look forward to working with my students and helping them grow emotionally and academically over the next school year. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions regarding our classroom.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Stephanie Gomez
