"Ahoy" and Welcome, Students!

Your school, Kerr Elementary, is a school where students, staff and parents work together for the success of all of our students. I am excited to “sea” you at our school and look forward to getting to know you and your family. Our school theme this year is: “S.E.A." Us Learn (Striving for Excellence, Always). Get ready, we are going to ship out for a year of academic work, challenges, and fun!

Be sure to click on the Handbook link, located above. It explains rules and provides important information about your school. You will receive a copy of the handbook when class begins in August. The Academics link, located above, is a great place to look for information about your teachers and what you will be learning. Did you notice that the front page of our website has links to the MPS Educational Technology page? You can practice many skills (and play games) at that website - give it a try! 

I hope that you will take advantage of the many things that happen at your school; Friday spirit days, after-school clubs and activities, AR and math facts challenges, band/orchestra, and other great things that happen
at Kerr.

“Ahoy” y Bienvenidos, Estudiantes!

Su escuela, la escuela Kerr, es una donde los estudiantes, administradores y padres trabajan juntos por el éxito de todos nuestros estudiantes.  Estoy muy contenta de verles en nuestra escuela y espero conocerle y su familia.  Este año, nuestra tema de escuela es “S.E.A. Us Learn”. (Véanos aprender)  Pongase listo, el “barco” sale para un año de trabajo académico, metas, y gozo!

Mira el link en nuestro sitio del internet para el folleto de la escuela (Handbook), localizado arriba.  Explica las reglas y provée información importante sobre su escuela.  Recibiras una copia cuando empieza la escuela en Agosto.  En las páginas de los maestros pueden encontrar información sobre sus maestros y sobre lo que van a aprender.  ¿Te fijaste en que la primera página de nuestro sitio tiene links a MPS Tecnología Educacional?  Puedes practicar muchas académicas y jugar juegos también…¡Trátalo!

Espero que toman de ventaja muchas de las cosas que estan pasando aquí en su escuela: los viernes para días de orgullo de su escuela, clubs y actividades después de la escuela, AR y competaciones de matematicas, banda/orchestra, y otras actividades maravillosas aquí en la escuela Kerr.
