Biography

Dana Dix has been the director of bands at Kino Jr. High since 2005.  She graduated with a Bachelor's in Music Education from Winona State University in Minnesota in 1991.  Later, she received her Master's in Education from St. Mary's University.  Mrs. Dix is currently in her 19th year of teaching instrumental music in the public schools. 

Mrs. Dix has been fortunate enough to be asked to present at the Minnesota Music Educators National Conference as well as be a guest conductor for several festival bands throughout the years of her career. 

Music is a life-long skill that can touch so many people and Mrs. Dix hopes to help each one of her students grow in that skill.
