Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, I am a true native of the Sonoran Desert. After graduating high school, I moved into the Phoenix area. Now a proud ASU alum (GO DEVILS!), I have dedicated my career to doing what I love- teaching! In fact, I love teaching science so much, I am currently working toward getting a Master's degree from NAU in science teaching!
There is so much to love about living here in the valley. My husband is also a teacher, so we like to use our weekends to explore new hikes, museums, and other fun things to do. A particular favorite of ours is hiking the Dixie Mine Trail, which features petroglyphs and an abandoned copper mine! Of course, I also love visiting the Arizona Science Center with my two children. To relax, I love to read, drink coffee, and make art.
