Biography

I am a Mesa native and proud product of Mesa Public Schools (attending Jordan, Madison, Brimhall JHS, and Mesa High School). I received my undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in Secondary English Education. I have completed graduate programs in English and Educational Leadership though NAU.

I began teaching in 2003, first at Kino JHS, and then moving to Red Mountain HS in 2006.  I began my career in administration at Taylor Junior High School in 2013. Proudly, I took the job of principal at Kino JHS in 2015.

Coming back to Kino JHS really is a homecoming for me. It's where I started my career and plan to be for a very long time. I grew up in the Kino boundaries and continue to live here. I am the luckiest Mesa administrator!

I feel privileged to take part in a student's education. Students' boundless energy and capacity for learning amazes me. I believe every student can be successful. Improving their achievement and supporting great teachers are my daily goals.
