Who is Mrs. Sierra Rhinehart?

I was born in Corvallis, Oregon osu. I moved to Carlsbad, Ca when I was 4 where I lived until I graduated high school with honors Carlsbad LancersWhile I was in high school I played basketballbball for 2 years until I got a knee injury. I graduated with honors and had several scholarships scholarship. I attended Point Loma Nazarene Universitypt loma as a nursing major. I wanted to be a pediatric nurse  because my best friend had a disease and the nurses always took such good care of her. Half way into my first semester I realized that I wanted to follow my true passion and be a teacher. That is, after all, what I had wanted to be since I was in 2nd grade. I graduated in 2003 and got my teaching certificate in the summer of 2004.

My first job was teaching 7th grade at a school very similar to Kino. I loved it!

While in California I taught at two schools. I taught 7th grade math at Washington Middle School in Vista, CA. Then I moved because I bought a house and taught 2 years of 5th grade at San Jacinto Valley Academy.  Since living in Arizona I have taught 1 year of 5th grade and 3 years of 6th - 8th grade math at Imagine Schools at East Mesa and 1 year of 7th and 8th grade math at V.H. Lassen School in Phoenix.

After those years I finally found my happy place at Kino Junior High. At Kino I have taught 7th grade math, 8th grade math, Honors 7th grade math, and Honors 8th grade math (Algebra 1). This year I am teaching all Algebra 1.

I live in Gilbert. My hobbies include playing video games, watching movies, and eating!!!!. I was also a competitive martial artist. I received my first state championship in Taekwondo in 2015. I received my black belt in December of 2016.

I grew up in Southern California and moved here in 2007. I love it here. The summers are a bit hot, but the rest of the year makes up for it. I do miss the beach from back home though!

I am always willing to help students that want extra help. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
