Ms. Michelle Salas
I was born in Phoenix, AZ, and was raised in Tempe and Chandler. I attended Aguilar and Pomeroy Elementary, Powell Jr. High, and graduated from Dobson High School in 1988. I also have a younger sister and brother who attended Hendrix and graduated from Dobson as well. I received a scholarship to attend Mesa Community College and transferred to the University of Arizona in Tucson (my sister and brother also graduated from U of A--Go Cats!). After I received my B.A. in Elementary Education, I started working for the Roosevelt School District in South Phoenix in 1995 at Southwest Elementary School (K-8). I have taught second, third, and fourth grades before I became highly qualified to teach seventh and eighth grade English. In 2001 I completed my M.Ed. in Bilingual Education from Northern Arizona University. In 2007 I was hired to work at the best junior high school in Mesa.
