Tutoring hours: After school Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:50 to 4:30.
I was raised here in Mesa and graduated from Dobson High School. I headed north to Flagstaff for my higher education at NAU, majoring in history education, where my experiences reinforced that teaching was the career for me. I graduated magna cum laude with honors in December 2013. I started substituting the next school year, and got my foot in the door, so to speak, as a long-term substitute at Taylor for the 4th quarter of 2014/2015. I was then hired on for the next year.
After a few years at Taylor, I've switched to Kino, where I'm continuing to grow as an educator. I'm here now for a second year, kept here by the wonderful espirit de corps of my colleagues and administration.
My Work at Kino
For those whose students are new to my class, I encourage you to view the presentation I give at parent night at the beginning of the semester.
I teach six hours of seventh-grade social studies, which emphasizes American history and geography.
I'm also the head NAL coach at Kino! The National Academic League is an extracurricular activity that is something like a quiz show. I've been co-coach for two years already (one at Taylor, one at Kino), and I'm pumped for this season! Note that NAL games may interfere with the tutoring times above.
For Students and Parents:
