Biography

I was raised here in Mesa and graduated from Dobson High School. I headed north to Flagstaff for my higher education at NAU, majoring in history education, and there gained valuable experience with tutoring, practicums, and my student teaching at Coconino High School. My experiences reinforced that teaching was the career for me. I graduated magna cum laude with honors in December 2013. I started substituting the next school year, and got my foot in the door, so to speak, as a long-term substitute at Taylor for the 4th quarter of 2014/2015.

After a few years at Taylor, I've switched to Kino, where I'm going to continue to grow as a teacher and help my students grow as well. So far it's been interesting seeing the inner workings of a different school.

For those whose students are new to my class, I encourage you to view the presentation I give at parent night at the beginning of the semester.
