This is my sixth year here at Kino Jr. High and I am very excited to get things rolling for the 2016-2017 school year.  This will be my 10th year in the classroom.

(I'm the handsome fellow on the left)

I love social studies and can't wait to pass my passion on to my students.  My goal this year is for my students to not only learn the material, but also to develop their minds as thinkers.  Students will grow socially, academically, and emotionally as a social studies student in my classroom.

I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Arizona in June 2008 after graduating from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with my Bachelor's degree in secondary education the winter prior.  I also hold a Master's degree in Educational Administration/Leadership from Grand Canyon University obtained in 2013.  I hope to one day aspire to the role of principal.

I've spent 15 summers working with kids from all over the country at a summer camp in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Besides escaping the brutality of the desert heat, camp allows me to shoot a bow and arrow, canoe on a beautiful lake, play a game of speed-ball (the best game ever!), or just sit by an evening camp fire enjoying the natural world around me.  Eating a s'more isn't so bad either!

I am a huge Cleveland sports fan (GO BROWNS!) and can't wait for football to start.  In my free time, I enjoy spending lots of time outdoors on Arizona's many different mountains and hiking trails as well as camping out in Arizona's many state parks. You can always find me near a basketball or tennis court.
