Biography

Thank you for visiting my page. This is my 6th year at Kino Jr. High and my 30th year of teaching. Most of my career was spent in the Balsz School District where I spent four years in the First grade and the rest of the time teaching 7th and 8th Grade English, US History, and Government. I love working with the students here at Kino and look forward to meeting and getting to know all of the young men and women who walk into my classroom.

I am currently the 8th Grade English Department Chair here at Kino. We have a terrific 8th English Department and I am thrilled to work with the teachers and students here at Kino.

I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Ottawa and my Masters in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. I am an AVID Certified teacher and have also taught Character Counts, A certified instructor in the CHAMPS program, a sponsor for SADD/MADD, and am always taking classes to increase my knowledge in the use of technology as well as my content area.

For the past 17 years, I have coached Varsity Softball, J.V. Volleyball, and Varsity Volleyball at Camelback High School.

In my time away from school, I enjoy reading, spending time with as many of my 40 nieces and nephews as I can, volunteering my time helping others, and visiting with good friends.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
