Mr. Douglas Walters
I will type a weekly newsletter to inform parents about Math concepts to be covered and other Room 12 news. Math lessons for both of my classes will be similar, so the information provided is helpful for all 60 of my students and their parents. If you take a moment or two to read my newsletter every week, I would greatly appreciate it.
This is my thirty-fourth year as a public educator, and my thirtieth in the Mesa Public Schools. I grew up in Northern California as a Raiders, Warriors, A's and Golden Bears fan. Now, I'm a Cardinals, Suns, Diamondbacks, and Sun Devils supporter. I play golf weekly.
My wife, Connie, teaches first grade at Bush. My adult sons, Kyle and Kevin, are married and starting families of their own. I have two grandsons and a granddaughter (two infants and a two-year old).
Students in my homeroom class will have me as their Math, Science, and Social Studies teacher in Room 12. Every morning, students will walk to Ms. Lombardi's class for English Language Arts. I teach Math to Ms. Lombardi's students from 10:15-11:40 every morning.
