I was born and raised in Arizona, spending my years in the East Valley. This year marks my 10th year of teaching and my 8th year in the Kindergarten Speech-Language and Learning Disability (SLLD) special education program. I graduated from Arizona State University in December of 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences degree and in August of 2012 with a Masters of Science in Communication Disorders degree. I currently hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and I am licensed by the Department of Health Services to practice Speech and Language therapy in the state of Arizona.

I greatly enjoy working with children and watching them grow physically, emotionally and academically over the years. I also enjoy spending time with my husband, almost 3 year old son, and dog. We enjoy anything and everything outdoors. We hike, backpack, camp, travel and play. We also enjoy trying new cuisines around the valley and while traveling.

I know this will be another great year filled with building new friendships, increasing communication, and growing academically. I am committed to your child’s education and success. One of my many jobs as a SLP is to help your child discover his or her individuality and work alongside them to maximize it. I acknowledge that each scholar is unique, therefore having different learning styles and needs. I incorporate each students learning style into my lessons in order for all students to learn, grow and achieve. I am driven by the successes and challenges of each scholar. I am looking forward to another fun-filled and educational year.

Our classroom is staffed with a special education teacher, speech-language pathologist and two instructional assistants. Our team is very dedicated to our scholars and their learning. We often work in small groups and rotate to different learning stations throughout the day.
