Biography
My name is Jean Dickover and I teach the Hearing Impaired K/1st grade class at Lehi Elementary School.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Deaf Education from University of Arizona and my Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from University of Tulsa (Oklahoma). I hold the "Highly Qualified Teacher" designation as described in federal NCLB legislation. I taught hearing impaired students in Oklahoma for 4 years and then I became a stay-at-home mom and raised my sons. When I began my career again, I taught preschool for several years and then moved to Arizona and became an H.I. Itinerant (traveling) teacher here in Mesa Public Schools. I have been with the district for 14 years and this is my second year at Lehi.
I am married to Jim, who is happily retired and loves to hike in our beautiful state, and have 3 grown sons. The older two graduated from Oklahoma State University; one is a social studies teacher and the other works in the financial arena. My youngest son is working and attending Arizona State University.
I look forward to another wonderful yearing of learning in H-3. Kindergartners are the best, and Lehi is a great place to work!
