Welcome to the Lehi Elementary Title 1 Department!
I am Pat Freestone, the Title 1 School Improvement Specialist at Lehi. My main role is to support students, teachers, and parents, which includes providing training to teachers and parents, training and overseeing our instructional support staff, assessing students, co-ordinating testing, helping teachers with curriculum and providing resources for instruction. I also oversee the Title 1 programs at the school. One of my favorite responsibilities is working with the Lehi Singing Hands Choir consisting of nearly one-hundred, 3rd through 6th grade students.
I have been affiliated with Mesa Public Schools all of my life. I attended Lowell, Emerson, Carson and Westwood, (Class of 72!) and my four children attended Franklin, Robson, Porter, Taylor and Mesa High. After years of volunteering in the classroom, I became an instructional assistant at Robson Elementary School. In 1994 I finished my degree at ASU and began teaching first grade at Robson. Three years later I transferred to Jefferson Elementary School and taught first and second grade for six years. Seven years ago I began working for the district as a Basic Skills Specialist at Lehi Elementary. I received a Masters Degree from NAU in 1998. I also currently hold an Early Childhood Endorsement, Reading Endorsement and ESL Endorsement.
I am one of those luck people who love their job and I enjoy working with the staff, students, and parents at my school. My primary goal is that every student will be prepared to face the future and have a positive experience attending Mesa Public Schools.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have regarding our Title 1 program, testing, curriculum and instruction. I am happy to help in whatever way I can. I can easily be reached by phone or email.
