Biography

This year I am teaching 1st grade in the SLLD classroom at Lehi Elementary school.  I have worked for Mesa Public Schools for 8 years.  I worked 3 years as an SLD Resource teacher at Washington Elementary School and 3 years as an SLD Resource teacher at Lehi Elementary school.  I worked one year as an SLD Resource teacher at Red Mountain Ranch Elementary school and one year as an ELD 4th grade teacher at Lehi Elementary school.  I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in Special Education in 2004.   

I am a third generation Phoenician.  My family has been in Arizona for a long time.  I have been married for 24 years and I have three children.  My oldest daughter, Jaime, is 22 years old.  My middle son, Travis, is 21 years old.  My youngest son, Kenny, is 19 years old and is stationed in the Army at Ft. Bragg.  I have two dogs and three cats.  

I love education, both teaching and learning.  I was a legal secretary for 12 years prior to becoming a teacher, but my true passion is in the classroom.
