New automatic email program coming later this week!
Destiny software allows automated library notifications to parents.
Hello RMRE Families!
Our library software (Destiny) now allows us to program automatic notifications to parents when student library books are overdue. I have set it up to begin sending notices to the parent email that is listed in Synergy (if you have given Synergy "permission to contact") Thursday (1/25) morning at 9:00am (yes, it's that specific). To minimize "false" late notices due to weeks where we had a day off, or other similar nuisance notifications, I have set it to only send notices to families whose books are 5 or more days overdue. It only counts days that we are open, so that's a whole school week.
Some of you subscribed to this newsletter by giving permission when you checked off the "include me in the newsletter" on the library permission slip, BUT you have not authorized Synergy to contact you. If you know that your student has a late book and you do NOT receive an automated email, you will have to change your authorization. We think that you can do that in the portal. If you have problems with that, please feel free to email me and we'll figure it out. This is a NEW system, so please be patient.
